The LowEmission Research Centre aims to develop the technologies and solutions needed to reduce offshore greenhouse gas emissions on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, in line with the emission goals of the petroleum industry. The target emission goals set by the Centre are to reduce offshore emissions by 40% by 2030 and to move towards zero emissions by 2050.
