ACT LOUISE at the 7th ACT Knowledge Sharing Workshop

On 4 October 2023, ACT LOUISE participated at the 7th ACT Knowledge Sharing Workshop at Agence Nationale de la Recherche in Paris. The project was represented by Project Coordinator Jochen Ströhle (TU Darmstadt).

Workshop participants were very interested in the chemical looping concept, and were particularly impressed by the associated low CO2 avoidance costs.

Facilitating the design of a 10 MWth CLC demo plant

In June 2023, SINTEF and TU Darmstadt ran a joint test campaign at SINTEF’s 150 kWth pilot unit, to support LOUISE’s end goal of designing a 10 MWth chemical looping combustion plant for the waste-to-energy industry.

On Wednesday 21 June, Øyvind Langørgen (SINTEF) presented on ACT LOUISE at the 12th Trondheim CCS Conference (TCCS-12). The session was chaired by ACT LOUISE Project Coordinator Jochen Ströhle.

ACT LOUISE featured on local Fredrikstad website

An article on ACT LOUISE has been published by the Norwegian website Vekst i Fredrikstad (“Growth in Fredrikstad”). Vekst i Fredrikstad is a collaboration between Fredrikstad Næringsforening (Fredrikstad Industry Association) and Fredrikstad municipality, with the aim of attracting investments in the area through new and existing business opportunities.

Third ACT LOUISE General Assembly Held in Fredrikstad

On 4 May, ACT LOUISE had its third general assembling meeting in Fredrikstad Norway. The meeting took place at Kronos Titan, and was organised by four of the project’s six Norwegian partners: Kronos Titan, NORSUS, Kvitebjørn Bio-El and SINTEF.
