A key aspect for the safe and reliable operation of large-scale underground CO2 storage applications is the accurate understanding of the subsurface behaviour and long-term fate of the injected CO2.

In this webinar we present results from the aCQurate project where we have developed a new CO2 monitoring technology using quantitative joint inversion for large-scale storage applications.

To improve the imaging and quantification of relevant reservoir parameters, we employ a hybrid structural-petrophysical joint inversion approach to combine the strengths and advantages of multiple different geophysical monitoring techniques (e.g., high spatial resolution from seismics and high sensitivity to CO2 saturation from CSEM).
